Flood alert

Hubby took the car for MOT this morning, it thankfully passed with flying colours. I did a pile of ironing whilst he was out.
Tonight was the first night of bowling league post Christmas. We had a call from one bowler mid afternoon to say they wouldn’t be able to get there because their village was cut off. The rest of the league made it. When we arrived at 7.30 it was obvious the river next to the bowl had already burst its banks but the car park was accessible. By 10 half of the car park was under water, several bowlers had to move their cars to higher ground. League ran smoothly and we were glad to finish promptly otherwise we may have needed canoes to get home.
