Snowy Larch Trees

A cold day, with snow. There is a weather warning for snow, although the met office web site says it will be raining. I go out for a walk while the snow is relatively light. The blip taken near the start when the snow is falling quite quickly. It stops snows halfway around, and the snow starts to melt. When I get back to the park, there are a few families out on sledges. Then it starts snowing again. I head home for a nice cup of coffee.

In the afternoon, there are intervals of heavy snow showers interspersed with occasional bursts of rain. Nasty conditions, so no afternoon walk. So with build up with snow, followed by snow melt, it is not very nice outside. As the afternoon wears on, the snow is lying faster than it is melting. It may be quite hazardous if it freezes. Fortunately the council gritters are out in force. There is more snow during the evening, and the running water from snow melt eventually stops. By the time we go to bed, it freeze has started.
