Summer Holidays

Sweet peas look and smell beautiful I think. As a child we used to holiday in Dorset and the lady from whom we rented an apartment used to fill it with vases of sweet peas. The scent of sweet peas still reminds me of the excitement of summer holidays at the seaside, of lazy days on the beach and of flasks of tea and lardy cake eaten on the cliffs.
