Back to work today and a tricky issue with a clients site which went down a couple of times over Christmas. After quite a lot of effort looking at all the system logs we have come to the conclusion that the reason it failed was that it had thousands more users on it than usual. Clearly whilst this is not ideal it was easy to increase capacity so it won’t happen again ( we had recommended they do this before Christmas ) and it was only down for a few minutes.

The river is high, we had flood warnings last night but it’s going down and hopefully we won’t get any more rain for a couple of days.
