Overflow

In the space of 12 hours we had a temperature increase of around 15⁰C. In the evening a warm front arrived to meet frozen ground,  first snowing, then ice-rain, then rain. And all the snow melted in a few hours, the ground unable to soak it up and thus the streams popped their banks.

Here village flood prevention overflow was working perfectly,  stream coming out at the start of the village, over the road and onto fields, finally going back into the stream which had done an 'L' in the village centre where it also joined another river.
