J's grandchildren

Early start for a frozen parkrun. I was on set-up and spotted a puddle ice-skating patch on the finish straight.  A kind police officer used her panda car to cover it before we reached it (so kept us safe) and the running policemen were back to join in - in uniform.  I am delighted that they have the bug. My run was strong and I ran my 4th fastest time on the course. Delighted with my time of 31:42.

Sofie's for breakfast and then a race training Gig row. Freezing with calm water with the effort of the row keeping us warm. Enjoyable drink in The Little Ship before the walk home for left over lamb and veg for dinner. 

Later I received a sad message from my cousin. Auntie Betty passed in hospital with her family at her bedside. My aunt was a beautiful,  much-loved lady and the last of her generation in the family,  so it was sad for us all. During the messages that followed J sent me the blip of her grandchildren.  

I went to bed very tired.
