Last Lap ...

I stopped a the top of the Carman Hill on my way home from Doune . I watched for a while as the deep red and orange bands appeared in the sky. Such a beautiful winter sunset looking down over Ardmore Point across the Clyde. 
I'm so very happy to be home to start our own New Year.  Jay took Emma home to Glasgow and I left Sheila with his brother . She was having a good day which makes things so much easier - so , her coal fire  burning , the evening meal in the slow cooker and the last night of her Christmas tree :) Burning coal is so foreign to us , but the house needs upgraded and for now its hard to achieve any winter comfort without her open fire . 
So , Happy New Year to you all from home :)  We watched 'The Split- Barcelona ' Nicola Walker is always so good - it was a bit silly , but entertaining , and just what we needed tonight to postpone the inevitable debrief of the last week with Sheila. 
We missed all the Christmas and New Year watching so any recommendations for catch up viewing are welcome !
