Copenhagen 's Cold War

Copenhagen's cold war is being preserved, right on my doorstep by Flemming here. I had no idea. I have mentioned and Blipped a few of the many hundreds of bunkers that are dotted around Copenhagen. At first I thought they were WWII German ammo' dumps, then I found out they were built by Danes, as bunkers .....but I was still thinking WWII. However, according to Flemming, they were built in the 50's in fear of atomic attacks (being a little closer to the commies they had reason to be paranoid). Each one is is 33 square meters and beautifully tiled inside (apparently). Many will be preserved and rented out for their all year, 14 degree constant temperature, that appeals to wine keepers, musicians and other fussy buggers.

I learnt something, go figure.
