Almost Swimming
22.3C with blue sky in the morning, and some cloud in the afternoon. Zephyr.
Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk before lunch. Just past the church, and having taken one or two landscape shots over the Angus countryside, we passed and said hello to a fellow blipper walking in the other direction with her two dogs. A sort of micro blip meet you might say.
We continued on down the field with the bridle path, and on via the cycle path and the small fields by the railway line to the beach. The tide was a bit further in today. We walked along towards the Fishermen's huts and as we got nearer and closer to the edge of the water Maeve decided to paddle.
I stopped along the way to take a photo or two. Since the beach was empty, and to make taking pictures easier, I took Maeve's lead off. She went back to paddling but became too bold and went a little further out. She hadn't noticed the sand shelved about a foot or two to deeper water and suddenly she was almost swimming. She stopped. Decided that water almost up to the top of her body was not the plan, splashed her way back to the shallows and resumed paddling as if nothing had happened. I pretended I hadn't noticed :-)
Along near the car park we stood by the rocks and watched 'Shamara II' coming in through the channel in the rocks. As they moored next to their dingy we made our way up of the beach through the car park and headed off home across the road bridge over the railway line.
This afternoon I mowed all the lawns. Rain is forecast for tomorrow.
