Full speed ahead

These are orange and ginger choc chip cookies. I've also done some extra chunky double choc chip and peanut cookies and a rather fabulous honey cake. Still got a dahl soup and a pork and coffee (yup...) ragout to do.

The honey cake has surprised me. I absolutely loathe honey, the smell alone brings me out in goosebumps. The cake was easy to make, very well behaved and baked beautifully. The result doesn't taste of honey at all and the texture is close but nice and moist.

It is, however, the brownest brown cake to come out of Old Brown Cake Town .

So that is why it isn't on here today.
