Winter Wanderings

When you prep full winter running kit and drive for two hours for an event you’ve been looking forward to, it’s disappointing to receive a text message less than 20 minutes drive away from the start line. In hindsight, the right decision was made to cancel the event, but if only the decision was made either last night or even a couple of hours earlier, I could have had a couple more hours in bed.

Not to waste a good opportunity for some fresh air, we found ourselves at a wee snow covered park just north of Leicester… not too much that we would get stuck but enough for someone before us to make up this snowman. Didn’t hang around too long as hunger was getting the better of us - thankfully not too far from a nearby Toby Carvery.

As for Round Sheffield Run - there’s always the summer edition - unless this one gets rescheduled for a weekend in the not too distant future
