We did have snow in the South East

Last night’s forecaster suggested if you went to bed early and got up late you would not have known if it had snowed.

This shot was taken from a bedroom window at about 00.15 this morning. It must count as one of the earliest daily blips in the can. By the time we got up rain was lashing at the window and the temperature had risen from 0c overnight to 12c.

In view of the weather we had a leisurely morning, girding up our loins for a damp walk in the early afternoon calling in at the allotment to pick a cabbage, some leeks and the last of the beetroot. It must have rained hard overnight as the River Len was flowing fast and flooding paths, fields and a nearby road. Did a FaceTime with Chris, Landon and Maddy this evening just before she went to her Soccer Shots activity. My, she’s a chatterbox and engages with you on the screen.

The Christmas display yesterday was raising funds for the Kent and Sussex Air Ambulance Service. A very worthy cause. Pleased you liked it
