Melting
As I opened the curtains this morning the snow that had fallen was already beginning to melt.
Then when I opened the kitchen blind, I could just about see a dark object down the road on the start of the path. It took me a minute to realise it was a dog. Without an owner.
Then I realised it was next doors dog Buddy. A large boisterous bernadoodle. So I threw on some clothes and walked out to see what he was up to. I managed to herd him back towards the house and then Debbie started calling him once she realised he had escaped (dodgy gate catch) and he ran home. Crisis averted.
And all of this before my first cuppa. It was ever so slushy and slippery, but I just went onto autopilot really. As I was already pretty wet and flipping cold, I went into the back garden then and got my blip.
It’s not stopped raining all day, and I’m pretty sure we’ve not had it as bad as many others, so I’m not complaining.
