Encased in Ice

We had weather warnings for snow and ice today - very true. It had snowed overnight, and the snow turned into freezing rain in the morning. Thankfully this happened on a Sunday, without a morning rush hour. But the mix of ice, slush, and more rain made it impossible to go for a walk in the vineyards.

The temperature went up later, but it’s still white outside - with occasional roof avalanches.
