Know your onions….

Had a chilled weekend with golf cancelled although I thought yesterday might have been a gooer with yellow balls.

Have had a session of batch cooking with bolognaise, chilli, lentil and chickpea soup, sweet potato lasagne, peri peri chicken burgers and this morning rattled up a batch of French onion soup. The French onion always amazes me how a massive pot of onions becomes such a flavoursome dish is unreal. Good quality beef stock and heaps of Gruyère cheese makes this such a warming comfort food.

Weather forecast looking grim today so a day of sport and more chill catching up on latest season of The Traitors with Lady V.
