A numbers day…
OCD has given me another blip by counting walls. The house I live in used to be a single dwelling but when a potential landlord bought it he converted it to two units but rather than two flats as you might expect he made it two separate houses. This was really fantastic during the COVID crisis because nobody wanted to walk into others in a shared stairway. But no danger of that with my own front door.
Because it was difficult arranging to get everything to fit together it means that my half has very strange shapes; my bedroom has 13 walls! Something I pondered at length while I plucked up the courage to get out of bed today.
Thank you OCD for giving me today’s Blip!
And here’s a fun fact for today.
I’ve often wondered why bank tellers are so called and now I know and will share with you.
The Olde English word “teller” dates back several hundred years and is defined as “one who counts”. It eventually found its way into the vernacular of the banking industry around the mid 1700s in the form of the bank tellers.
