Still very cold

There is an amber warning for snow here today. No sign of it here yet as I type this this evening at 2130. We walked in the wetlands to the west of of village and noticed new planting on the banks of the watercourses. I assume it was to strengthen the banks to prevent erosion. The flood defences around here have all been upgraded in the last 20 years.
