It's ok to change your mind...

So hard to decide what to post today, had a magical encounter with the barn owls at dawn, see extras, then an afternoon up at my favourite spot "on the wall" where the owls stubbornly refused to approach. Held out while the circus of folk ebbed and flowed along the road, moving round every time Smudgy owl or its rival flew. Then with an hour of daylight left admitted defeat and went over to the other field. Instant drama between the owl and the kestrel and a few flight shots and a portrait sat on the wall too.

Alas the 600mm lens must go back on Thursday and I'll be back at my normal 420mm reach. I've loved having it despite the inevitable constraints of time and weather limiting the opportunity to use it more.
