The Barrowby Cross

On the village green in Barrowby stands a medieval cross that served as a meeting point for the village in the long distant past. The village has Danish origin and the modern name derived from 'Berghby' meaning 'village on a hill'. The village is just 4 miles from my home along a country lane. 

There are a number of these bus stops around the village but the historic details about the last bus to pass through has been lost to time...
