The Shard - Again
So, yesterday was brigth sun and freezing. Today is cloudy and freezing. I would have expected yesterday to have given the better view. But apparently not. Yesterday I suggested that you could see The Shard on the horizon, if you squinted. Well my blipfriends, today You don't have to squint! Clearly (if a bit fuzzy) at the right hand end of the "row" of skyscrapers.
I picked up Penny, Ottilie and Layla again this morning and we went for a walk (only 13,378 steps - 9.69km so my Fitbit tells me). Ottilie was a bit "aggie" which worried Penny. A good walk, and I took this blip en route. But gosh was it cold. I have had the fire on but I daren't look at the smart meter.
I need to add some insulation to a wall in my eaves storage that backs onto my bathroom. I have the insulation but it meant taking all the (vey heavy) boxes out of the way. "This is going to be a big job" opined Handyman Dave. I thought, I will do this myself. But then I thought that possibly this wasn't a good plan what with the (minorly) fractured finger. So I asked son, Chris if he could come and help. Bless him, he turned up with Shelly and the 2 boys. Together we took down all the Christmas decorations, boxed them up and put them in the eaves storage and Chris took out all the boxes that need to be taken out to get access to the spot (furthest end of course) that needs insulation. It took about 1.5 hours. I simply couldn't have done it by myself, it was such a relief. We also managed to play Lego with the boys and I think that Shelly is now ever so slightly hooked on Lego too!
