On my way back home this morning I came across a large flock of Canada geese. Despite the dullness and cold (I soon had goosebumps) I managed a few in flight shots before they disappeared.
Apparently they can fly up to 2,400 kms in 24 hours, during which they can 'shut down' one half of their brain to give it a rest.
Why did the goose cross the road? To prove it wasn't chicken.

Extra: Lapwing. All dressed up and nowhere to go.
