Two Swans

Urghh, what a difference days makes. Still very cold but now raining and the gales starting - we also seem to be on an orange ice, snow and rain warning, told to stay inside. So far just miserable rather than particularly unusual.  The swans were unperturbed.

In other news, I recently had my DNA tested - a special bargain offer with Ancestry. Not unexpectedly, I mainly seem to Be borders Scottish, Lancashire English and Channel Islands but there was also some rather glamorous Danish (Vikings obvs), a touch of Germanic and a very intriguing 1% Sardinian!  Oh, and 3% Irish! No sign of that in my family tree - yet. I did have a good research session the other day and may have unearthed an Icelandic granny and a German grandpa, both in the far distant past. All intriguing. Traits include freckles, dancing and enjoying being alone. Hmm, that's quite accurate!
