Dark skies

Unbelievably, we didn’t get wet. Lovely walk along beach & boardwalk. Lots of bird life around: a whole flock of ibis as we left home; a kestrel hovering over the wetland; a couple of spoonbills which I’ve never seen here before, a jolly little stonechat and all the usual oystercatchers, waders and egrets. Our regular lunch place was closed; it was nice to go somewhere different. We spent less, ate well, and home in time for a few drops of rain to fall.
