Ice Warden

I had signed up to be Tailwalker at Parkrun today - as much to ensure that I actually got out of bed to do it as well as giving back. There was part of me that hoped it would be cancelled so I could stay in bed but it wasn't and so I got up and headed out. I enjoyed the walk over and was rewarded (if a reward was needed) by a sighting of a red squirrel running across the road from one piece of woodland to another.   

An extra marshall was needed to alert participants of a slightly icy section and I volunteered to do that instead. I thoroughly enjoyed it - it is actually great fun watching every one go by.  I think I might marshall more often. 

This in turn I was leaving at the same time as VP who was heading back to hers and then down to the Dell for a swim. Needless to say I joined her. It was beautiful - the water was very still and clear and it was lovely to see the blue sky.
