Diapause
Diapause is what lizards do when it gets too cold.
They shut down and rely on fat reserves to make it through to when the temperature rises again to tolerable levels... not this weekend then chaps. ;-)
A collection of cast iron lizards on a cast iron teapot stand in the freezing cold garden. Perhaps silly enough for Admirer, I don't know.
The sky is full of snow clouds, and it's not quite as cold as it was yesterday... maybe we will catch the southern edge of the amber snow alert after all.
I notice a number of blippers have honoured the apparent proximity of Luna and Venus, and I too was called to look up last night.
I focused on the Moon, but later in the month (if it's not cloudy and I'm not asleep) I'll try for the close alignment of Venus with Saturn.
