Thomas Wood Exhibit at Whatcom Museum
Four of us art ladies planned to meet at the Whatcom Museum to take in a retrospective of the work of Tom Wood. He was born in eastern Washington but spent much of his life here in Bellingham. I was very lucky to take a plein air weekend class he taught at the North Cascades Institute over ten years ago. His work includes oil paintings, pastels, etchings and a few sculptures. The exhibit was fantastic.
While I was there I rejoined the museum. Weird circumstances ended up with me the only one of the four that could visit the exhibit today. I hope to go again before it closes March 2nd. If you are nearby, go see it. His work is amazing.
