WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Bella at the doggy Dr.

We wanted the vet to take a look at a small growth on Bella’s right eye. He asked if it had grown in size - at present it is about 3mm. It must have grown because it never used to be there. He asked us to monitor it and said it may need to be removed if it grows too big. He quoted us £870!
He also checked the rest of her and said what a healthy dog she is - good for a veggie dog! She does get eggs ( only free range).
Then we asked for worming tablets so he prescribed them. He asked if we needed flea and tick treatment. I said no. She has never had it and has never had fleas or ticks.
Normally when she’s been to the vet she has been all over them with excitement but she has changed so much since Frank’s illness and has become quite an anxious dog.
Frank has a bad chest infection just now and when he coughs she goes and hides. Poor girl
However, shortly after we got home, Eddie the sign writer visited us and she was yelping with excitement and nearly wagged her tail off!
Eddie is always full of funny tales to tell. Through his sign painting he meets a lot of people on boats and those with vintage vehicles and he tells us about all the goings on.

As if Frank hasn’t been through enough he now has an excruciatingly painful left shoulder. It has been X-rayed and scanned recently but the pain has got worse. He had an appointment yesterday with the shoulder consultant and will be put on the waiting list for a shoulder replacement!
If it’s not one thing it’s another!
I’m up late tonight and may sleep on the sofa as I don’t want to disturb Frank if he’s finally managed to sleep.
Goodnight Blippers and thank you for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts. ;-) X
