A cause for celebration

This two and a half acre open space now belongs to Bridge of Allan community thanks to Sunnylaw Action Group who organised a community buy-out last year.

Until a “For Sale” went up, to the astonishment of everyone, we thought the land belonged to  Stirling council. Not so. It was owned by a developer “down south “ who decided to downsize his portfolio.
 
The land is popular with walkers and dog walkers and the only flat open space in upper Bridge of Allan.

The fear was that it would go to a developer.  But thanks to our local activists this did not happen, and the owner was prepared to sell it to the community.
Now we must cut the grass regularly.
