Great Horned Owl

A beautiful January day, sunny and 60 (15C), for a long family walk. We spotted a very well camouflaged great horned owl taking a daytime nap above a grassy field.

The ski resorts have been getting lots of snow already, about 2ft (60cm) this week. Maybe a family ski trip is in our future. Get Carly started early!
