Waxing Crescent plus Venus.

After a glorious sunny day we have a very clear sky with the moon (what there is of it) and stars very clear. It has been very cold all day, never above 3.0C and there is now a decent frost. 
I took the above from our front door and have been advised that the bright star top right is the planet Venus, not an actual star.
