Sun
So cold, all day. We packed some Christmas cake and a flask of cocoa and headed up one of our favourite walks. Heavy frost, and some very slippery tracks made it a bit challenging but it was wonderful to be out and on the hill. Plenty of grouse around and we could hear the heavy guns firing miles away at the army ranges.
Hetty really enjoyed herself and was running and rolling in the snow at the top.
Quiet and warm afternoon back at the cottage, and I ordered a calendar for this year, start in February as we won’t be back until the end of January.
Album today was Leonard Cohens Greatest hits. Listened to Cohen so much in the late 80s and he was constant on the the hi fi and when my doctor visited me after I had my daughter he said perhaps I should be listening to something less depressing, but I don’t find him depressing.
Having seen the weather warnings on the news we have decided to leave tomorrow rather than risk getting stuck here, which would be fine if we didn’t have appointments next week.
