Partying in the colonies

While Jackie made her regular Thursday visit to help us with our cleaning this morning, we were also busy with housework. We packed away our Christmas decorations in the hall, kitchen, sitting room and study, swept the sitting room floor, and put the silk rug back down after its 'holiday' in our bedroom (hiding from guests who are likely to spill drinks). Normally we would leave the decorations up until twelfth night, but we won't be at home then, and have a very busy schedule over the next couple of days.

This afternoon we set off for Leith to spend the afternoon in two colony houses. The first was Jack's to first foot him, then enjoy chat over tea and cake with him and Katharine. Then the four of us trundled round to Brian and Bridget's house for a couple of drinks with their friends and neighbours. There I blipped a couple of Bridget's Christmas tree decorations. In the extra is my annual contribution to the magnetic board in their bathroom. The figure on the left running away from the monster is mine.

Home again, we caught up with series 3 of the UK version of The traitors. We are already hooked.

Exercise today: small amount of walking (9,675 steps).
