It seems I’m marking another milestone on this fabulous site - 15 years - hence the phosphorus-related shot. My first time trying to capture a match being lit - it took a bit of a set up and a fair few goes I’ll be honest!! Good fun to keep playing and learning in the process as a photographer though.

As ever, the thanks go to the incredible volunteers who keep this site running with such professionalism, but also with such a profound understanding of just what makes this wee community so special. Thanks to all of you @BlipCentral - you’re all superstars.

And to those who stop by to view, star, favourite and comment - my gratitude. In recent years my capacity to respond has been diminished but please know I appreciate every visit. And that I continue to be so inspired by all the truly lovely, talented and kind fellow travellers here.

So for the year ahead, as the saying goes, I’m going to try to continue to curse the darkness less and light candles (or matches!) much more. Keep being the points of light Blippers x
