1829 building

Today is my one thousand eight hundred and twenty ninth blip. Nothing remarkable  and won't generate lots of congratulations for reaching such a milestone. However, it's the name of the building where I worked when I first moved to Chester from Wickford, many many years ago and where I enjoyed working in the NHS before the madness of privatisation.  It was the thin edge of the wedge when private companies tendered for cleaning services and wards and departments were cleaned by whoever was available instead of a cleaner who was part of the ward team.  It was the beginning of the end.

My office was left of the main door and our team office was on the right on the middle floor. I looked out on to the hospital playing fields. It's a carpark now. Ahh, those were the days!
