New Year's Day Dinner

We had Beef & Guinness Stew. A departure from the traditional Steak Pie as Dad has realised that puff pastry doesn't agree with him. 

We watched the first of three Royal Institution Christmas Lectures in the morning. Chris van Tuliken on 'The Truth About Food'. Very good!

After overcast skies for over a week we finally got a peek of some sky with a lovely sunset whilst out for a walk in the afternoon. 

Later we enjoyed watching the start of the new series of The Traitors and also had a good laugh watching Cunk on Life.
