The reason I always tell foreigners to just not bother with Finland, is that even a medieval city center and UNESCO world heritage site is free parking and quick shortcuts for cars first, cozy and safe environment for pedestrians second (if at all).

Nothing you wouldn't get walking down a dual carriageway.

Only exception to car centrism is obviously public transit which is kept away from city center...because it would slow down cars.
