Red Spider Mite

While packing up our camping gear this morning I noticed a bright red dot on a camp stool.

The red dot was no more than 1 mm in diameter and stood out like a ruby on the aluminum camp stool.

Watching it for a moment, I noticed it was moving towards a small drop of water.

On close examination once it reached its objective, I found it was in fact a red spider.

A bit of research brought me to the den of the red spider mite... pretty cool little critter
