Clear Skies
For the past few months I've been building a raspberry pi-based observatory. I finished it just before Christmas but since then the night skies have been cloudy. Last night was the first clear night so my first chance to try it out. I decided on Jupiter as the target as it seemed the easiest object to find. This is the result; 100 5 second exposures stacked and tweaked. The brightest object in the middle is Jupiter, surrounded by the stars of the constellations Taurus and Auriga. I am pretty happy with the first attempt. Future plans include a more powerful lens!
