A memory garland

Today we visited a local lakeside playground and beach in a neighbouring bay . Mary-Anne and Darcy had loads of fun and unbeknownst to us she had gathered lots of dried old weathered wooden twigs and also small volcanic pumice stones from the lake edge . On arrival back at the bach she borrowed DrD’s power drill and bits and proceeded to drill a fine hole through the centre of all these finds and alternately threaded wood and stones onto fine fishing line then mounted the beautiful result in the maple tree adjacent to a large picture window by our front door! Very special. It hangs more than a metre in length.
