Beach

Slow start again whilst we chatted, ate crumpets and drank cups of tea. It was a beautiful sunny day, but obviously colder with lots of condensation on the windows that I needed to dry off (don’t normally have such a problem).
We decided to go to the beach so got the dog, the football and a trowel to dig and set off. Had a lovely time passing the ball amongst us, throwing sticks for Higgs and helping AR dig a hole and then gather lots of shells as we walked.
Stopped for various combinations of coffee, ice cream and chips at the Joppa end of the beach then walked back again….beautiful day to be out in the fresh air with the tide going out, but I can’t imagine how those in their swimming costumes managed to even get to the water let alone swim….freezing cold!
Once home the kids had a snack plate for lunch whilst we had (our first piece of!) Christmas cake with cheese and tea. Rather pleased with it….
We watched another Famous Five adventure together which once again kept them both engaged, then Mt and AR did some work whilst H started on packing and I played Kluster game with Mx before doing a sweep of rooms to gather up stray pens and treasures of theirs.
We decided we fancied something different for supper and in the end decided on Indian so went for a take out from the Tanjore. Very tasty…we shared a masala dosa then I had Prawn Manderlay which was gorgeous. Stuffed!
We did another quiz but were flagging by just after 10 and they have a long drive tomorrow so we went to bed. I’m going to miss them!
