According to Ukraine, North Korean soldiers got drunk on New Year’s Eve. The Pentagon does not see them as particularly effective. 

India put out a tender to get oil from non-Russian sources. Indian-made ammunition has been diverted by European customers to Ukraine! India has not intervened to stop it despite Russia’s requests. India is increasingly looking to make its own replacements for Russian weapons including anti-drone ammunition. 

The authorities who seized the tanker transporting Russian oil have asked the Finnish court for formal authority to seize it so they can use it to demand compensation for damage for cutting the power and data line. 

Ukraine hit a Russian army command post in Kursk. Kursk is the area  Ukraine invaded, hoping to use it as a bargaining chip and hoping to capture Russian soldiers to exchange for Ukrainians. It sounds like the attack was quite successful. 

There are Russian women organizing and demanding their husbands and sons be returned from the war. A group is called Put’Domoi which means “homecoming.” Russia has branded them foreign agents. Russian lawmakers are considering declaring feminism an “extremist ideology” like they did with LGBTIQ. 

Russia’s military has done so well and its equipment has been so impressive that Serbia is turning away from them and looking to other arms suppliers. They just signed a contract with Israel for artillery systems and drones.
