A day of mixed impressions
The afternoon brought some time with the kids, who both were wearing new dresses with paillettes, they were all glittering while preparing rings, key chains and bracelets to sell them tomorrow. My remark that there might be no buyers tomorrow for a little booth on the street as it will be pretty cold tomorrow, did not please them.
A shopping time in the morning allowed me to find a little box with Ribes. I love these berries and was willing to pay a high price for them.
The steeple of ‚the Michel“ cought a short warming by some sunbeams early morning. Lower row middle picture. The white townhall in Altona reminded me of the marriage of my friend Katharina, but also Don and me spent there some hours when whe needed an apostille to our marriage contract from Georgia. And have my new name registered.
The beautiful two old buildings at the bottom row show the main building of my my Alma Mater and the main university library. these buildings were visited often during the last year of my.studies. ( after being bored in the import export business I finished with an equivalent of a masters degree for french and geography) It is interesting to note that all the dignified old buildings in this town are overtowered by new modern buildings as the old ones did not offer enough room for all the students and their needs.
Traveling was my life and by teaching french I earned my money.
It’s two o’clock at night so I missed a day for posting again. But this nasty cold wakes me up frequently. I didn’t post yesterday as I just fell asleep too early .
It seems that this is a celebratory entry.
I am filled with gratitude for this very special site, the people wo run it and all the friends who make this a very special place. My daily blip is a very healthy routine in the task of finding a good picture and it is a joy to interact with you, my friends !
