An ordinary life....

Golden glow...

Our golden girl on Gleneagles Moor this afternoon.

We all had a lazy morning.  D was up first and Esme joined him for an early breakfast of cornflakes.  He's her new favourite person :-)

Ele and Jen took Esme into the pool again while Andrew & Nikki enjoyed a lie in, Kenny watched football, and D and I started on brunch.  Having not had much of an appetite over the past week, it returned this morning when I smelled the bacon grilling.  Got our timings right again and it was all dished up in time for the swimmers coming back downstairs after their showers.

Brunch (well lunch really) over, D, Ele and Jen took Lola for a walk on Gleneagles moor.  The rest of us relaxed on sofas again.  Esme came and snuggled on my knee and we discussed the imminent arrival of her new baby sister.  Esme is insisting the baby will be called Orla and I really hope they go with that because the suggestions her mum and dad have been coming up with have impressed no one!  I won't mention them here for fear of offending anyone! ;-)))

Andrew and Nikki headed home.  I said the next time I'd see them they'd probably be a family of four!  The baby is currently breech and Nikki has a scan tomorrow.  If the baby is still breech she will be offered a selective C-Section date of either 21st January (my birthday :-) or 23rd.  Esme says after the baby is born we've to call her Big Sister rather than Esme.

D, Ele, Jen and Lola returned from their very bracing, frosty walk rosy cheeked and ready for coffee and more Christmas goodies.  Kenny and I were watching the Old Firm Game (so thankful I am not married to a football fan!  lol)  Coffee made and the shortbread polished off with some After Eights.  It was lovely to just chill watching The Chase.  It's the simple things :-)

Ele, Kenny and Jen headed off.  D did a massive tidy up while I completed the Tesco order that's coming tomorrow morning.

We were too full from earlier for dinner so tea and bagels sufficed.
