Of Rocks And Holes
I wish I could say I purposefully centred the grey rock amongst its warmer, more angular neighbours. And also, that I had aligned it with the hole in the snow above.
In discovering these details later on, I assume perhaps such compositional elements are innate to me at this point in my development. It would be nice to think so, but I'm not sure, of that or anything relating to my progress in photography.
Light snow fell this morning, a few streaks of which can be seen against the dark ice. It stung my eyes and I was happier behind the viewfinder.
White snow covered ice extended out over the lake, save for an open stretch of water. And blowing snow obscured the distant shore.
