Unexpected Brief Light Show

I didn't think it would be dark enough to see this when the aurora warnings pinged, but what do I know. The numbers were very briefly through the roof, with dancing lights visible to the naked eye. For a moment. But always lovely to see.

Nice way to start the year after the weather most of the day had been somewhat disappointing.
