How good to wake up to sunshine, cold, but sunny. Walk took longer with the sunshine, I think people are more inclined to stop and chat.

I'm embracing the clearing out mood I'm in at the moment. Made a tiny dent in the boxes I'd packed up 3 years ago. Still too much in the loft, but bit by bit it's getting clearer.

Spoke with Hayley today. She and the children did a spot of volunteering in Manchester for the poor people who'd been flooded out. They were serving hot chocolate and marshmallows. Not a lot else a 5 and 8 year old could do, but at least the effort was made. The churches and mosques have been wonderful. She said the water stinks.
