Loopy's

Today was Maggie's last day of her wee holiday in Edinburgh [:O(] so we thought we'd mark the occasion by having a cream tea at Loopy Lorna's (much like we marked the first day of her holiday by having cream tea's at E-tea-ket... any day is a good day to have scones with clotted cream and jam really!).

Its been brilliant having her back in the flat this week and we've had such a good time, I'm really sorry to see her go :o(.

Unfortunately we probably wont manage to see much of each other now before she goes off to Oz in Sept..
But watch out USA - we'll be there next year and you'll be able to hear our combined cackling from coast to coast!
It will be (*wince*) Major. ;o)

M+D were coming through Edinburgh this afternoon on their way back from the Golf Open at Turnbury* so I've come back up north with them. Partly because I have a painting to finish before an exhibition next week (Inverness Art Society) but also because I now have less than £10 in my account. Oops, too many tea-shop visits probably! lol

I think I need a bit of rest time anyway after my busy week, and Felix's unmitigated joy at my return has cheered me up no end - he wont let me put him down, its making it very difficult to post this and I am now breathing cat hair!

New Exhibition opens at the National Gallery - Spanish Painters, Goya to Picasso.

Upside down and looking daft, that don't matter as long as you laugh!

*Someone I know actually lived in the Lighthouse there, the one that you keep seeing in all the papers just now because they are holding the Open at Turnbury. How cool is that?!! They keep boring me rigid with this fact - but I'm secrectly most impressed and v jealous!
