Cathedral Of The Marches

The Marches are an area of land between the English counties of Shropshire and Herefordshire, and the Welsh borderlands. The original use of the word 'marches' was employed to define the borderlands or frontier between England and Wales.

The church in my picture is the iconic and unmissable landmark of St. Laurence's Church, Ludlow and has often been referred to as the Cathedral of the Marches due to its importance and location at the time of being built. It is the highest church in Shropshire and twelfth highest in England. I have blipped this view several times before and tonight I couldn't resist the light in the sky.

It was underexposed in camera and slightly modified in Snapseed.

The forecast is for severe weather over the whole of UK for the next few days and heavy snowfall expected.

Take care everyone, don't slip up, and if you have to travel, please stay safe!
