New Year...New Brighton!

Blue skies, freezing, icy cold temperatures and sunshine...lovely! 

The flooding and surface water made for a rather lethal start to the day but safely made it to New Brighton. 

On the way, it would have been rude not to stop off at Anfield for a walk around the outside of the stadium and a trip into the supporters shop for a browse. It's a magical place, and I think even those who don't support Liverpool would think the same. :-) 

A really lovely walk from New Brighton to Seacombe, and back again. It's wonderful to look across at the city of Liverpool skyline and enjoy the sound of the Mersey acting like the sea!! 

It's cosy times in the Travelodge at New Brighton now where the room actually has a super view across the Mersey. :-)
