What can this be?

Alfie was puzzled by this mystery object which he claims never to have seen before. This was part of T and my Hogmanay celebrations which followed our usual pattern of eating together - it was my turn to host this year - followed by a film which was Billy & Molly: an Otter Love Story. The bottle this came from was non-alcoholic Nozeco as T had decided to drive because of the weather.
